August 12, 1984 – 2026

Wayne Alan Connor, 42, of Mesa, Arizona, passed away peacefully in the hospital after a brief illness. His partner, Erica, was by his side in his final moments.

Wayne was born August 12, 1984, in Grand Junction, Colorado, to Alan and Gail Connor (née Janes). He began playing the trumpet in middle school. He attended Palisade High School and the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, where he studied music and history.

After some time back home following his departure from UNC, he moved to Glenwood Springs, Colorado. He resided there for 14 years, with a brief time in between spent in neighboring Carbondale, Colorado. He worked at Columbine Moving and Storage in Aspen and Eagle for many years and enjoyed his employment there.

In 2023, Wayne relocated to Mesa, Arizona, to be with Erica, whom he had first met years earlier in Glenwood Springs. He began working at Van Marcke Trade Supply in Phoenix, Arizona, and was employed there until shortly before his passing.

He is survived by his spouse, Erica, and stepson, Bryson; his sister, Jennifer Anderson (Justin), and her children, Travis and Devlyn Coleman; cousins, DT (Coulter) and Ron Carl; his best friend of almost two decades, Jamie Haselton, and her son, Skylar; and the Preston children, who were also of significant importance in his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alan and Gail.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has already taken place. A celebration of life will be held in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, near the one-year anniversary of his passing.
