Took me maybe 10 minutes to review and sign everything and was done. Valerie, Ellie and thier staff were patient, assisting me WORKING BACKWARDS how my cousin arrived at their location: county coroner, where he passed, hospice, and an assumed power of attorney; sometimes calling and visiting several times in one day. Prior to departing for a previous planned mini vacation, I thought it a good idea to view the body... as there were so many variables. That could have been any schmuck off the street. They pulled the body out of the refrigerator, and had him presented with a white rose laying on his chest. I express my sincerest gratitude for the assistance, Ascend Cremations provided. If there is anything to say I did not know that viewing my husband once before the cremation would cost 100.00 extra. And I know that they don't prepare the body and all because he was being cremated but a suggestion for them would have to at least glue his mouth shut. That was kind of upsetting. Other then that they were great and kind.The staff is extremely caring, nice and helpful. They were professional and made this unexpected situation easier to manage.
